that part in G/S/C where you figured out the puzzles in Ice Path for the first time in your little pre/tween life and made it to fucking Blackthorn City where the most badass gym leader of the game is waiting to kick your ass in a gym full of fucking lava with her fucking kingdra and you’re so confident in your typhlosion/feraligatr/meganium and then you beat her and she sends you off to go past a whirlpool to find a dragon scale- at which point she deems you worthy of receiving the eigth fucking badge of Jhoto
